Anna Paquin

Anna Paquin is a Canadian and New Zealand actress. Paquin is a native of Winnipeg and grew up in Wellington and made her debut as Flora McGrath when she played her role as Flora in The Piano. She won an Academy Award at the age of 11 years old for Best Supporting Actress. Anna Paquin full name Anna Helene Paquin born July 24 in 1982 Winnipeg Manitoba Canada. Canadian-born New Zealand actor who won the Academy Award as a youngster as Best Supporting Actress portraying the bright and curious child of Holly Hunter's leading role The Piano. The Piano. After responding to a call for auditions, she was able to audition at the age of nine, and with little previous experience in acting the actress was chosen for Flora McGrath's role. Flora is the daughter of the Scottish musician who was blind. The couple were relocated into New Zealand during the middle of the nineteenth century in an effort to get married. She moved to the United States as a teen. Paquin was the main character in the film Fly Away Home in 1996 as well as a brief appearance as Jane Eyre when she was just a young child. Paquin played a minor role in the 1997 TV movie version of Carson McCullers' novel The Member of the Wedding. The actress also played the Queen of Spain in Steven Spielberg's Amistad (2007). The role she played was for teenagers on Hurlyburly (1998), She's All That (2000) as well as A Walk on the Moon (2000). She played the role of a groupie Polexia Aphrodisa in Almost Famous (2000).
