Meagan Good's mother Tyra was in her teens working in Panorama City as a manager and father Leondis Leon Good, a policeman from LAPD. The acting career of Meagan Good began around age four. She was raised in Canyon Country, California with three of her siblings. Her acting journey began as an actress in television shows like Doogie Howser Amen, M.D. and Doogie Howser Amen. Her debut film, "Friday", was released in 1995 when she turned 13. The film first caught the attention of her role as the struggling teenager Cisely Batiste in the film Eve's Bayou in 1997 for which she was awarded two nominations.
