Walker was born 1976 in Pennsylvania, Philadelphia. She is of African American background, and is an American. She's the daughter of Harvey Welker (a Native American father) and Julie Welker (an African-American mom). The father of the family is an engineer and her mother is an estate agent. She attended the Germantown Friends School, located in Philadelphia's Germantown neighborhood, in 1994. She went to Harvard College, where she earned a Bachelors of Arts degree. Welker got married to John Hughes in Philadelphia, who was known as a marketing director. The couple have two daughters. In 2014 the couple began to engage in an affair. John her husband is four years less than her. They decided to take their relationship to a higher level because it was running so smoothly. On the 4th March 2017, they tied the knot. Philadelphia Pennsylvania was the location of their wedding. The wedding took place at the Hyatt. Only family and close friends were invited. The party was attended by approximately 300 guests.
